J and I celebrated my birthday weekend in style at Ristorante Bartolotta for a yummy Italian dinner. We hadn’t been there since J first moved to Milwaukee 4 years ago, and this visit was a little different (ahem, no bottle of wine… or 2), but was certainly amazing nonetheless. My meal consisted of Mozzarella alla Pizzaiola for an appetizer, a Misticanza di Campo salad, and Rigatoni con Melanzane al Sugo di Pomodoro for my main course. It. Was. So. Good. 

If I wasn’t set on becoming a teacher, I think professional food taster would be my vocational calling! The awesome staff even treated me to a delicious birthday dessert (complete with candle) to cap off the night – chocolate torte topped with cherries. I was in pregnant lady heaven :)

Even though I’m now officially closer to 30 than I am 20, I am really excited for what year 25 will bring. Welcoming our first baby and finishing school are just two of the many exciting life events this year will bring. I am looking forward to sharing it all with my family, friends and YOU!
