If you’re a long-time reader, you might remember my post about doing a Storybook Christmas Countdown. The basic idea is that for each day in December leading up to Christmas, you unwrap a book to read together as a family. The 25 books can be old, new, borrowed, Christmas-themed, or just something fun! Basically, there are NO rules… just reading ;)
Since we’re already halfway through November, I thought it might be a good idea to get my book tote organized for the December countdown. I decided to use 20 books we already have and just add 5 new ones to the mix! I’m really excited about about our expanding collection!
Here’s a peek at what’s new…
The book in the bottom right corner is extra special! Kai from Crayon Crunch offered to send Eleanor one of their brand new personalized My Magical Adventure books, and I just knew she would love it. I got to customize a little “Eleanor” character compete with pigtails, a skirt (obviously), and adorable high tops with pink hearts.
The storyline takes Eleanor the Explorer on the adventure of a lifetime. It has super cute personalizations and a great message.
I also got to include a personalized note to Eleanor at the end of the book. I hope she cherishes these words as much as I do :)
Crayon Crunch prides itself on creating the first printed book where the main character actually LOOKS like the child reading it. Their character options encompass all children regardless of ethnicity or special needs – super cool!
I bet you can think of one (or two) kiddos who would LOVE to find their very own adventure book under the tree this year! ;)
Do you have any holiday countdown traditions?
What’s one more book you think I should add to our growing library?
