I recently reestablished my relationship with the treadmill. I love running outside and find it difficult to get myself motivated to hit the gym in the winter. And even though we’re experiencing -20º weather here in Nebraska, summer is right around the corner and I want to be ready for shorts and swim suits!
Like it or not, a big part of gym life is workout gear. I tend to stick with the basics, but I’m always looking for products that make my workouts better! One of my fellow Sweat Pink sisters, Katie Heddleston is a entrepreneur who started her own line of non-slip fitness headbands, BAMR Bands. She was kind enough to send me one to try, so I eagerly gave it a test run!
Being an Iowa girl at heart, I received a Hawkeye headband. It was a bit risky wearing a Hawks headband in Husker territory, but I’ve survived my trips to the gym so far :)
Her products are adorable, functional, and I just love the name – BAMR stands for Bad Ass Mother Runner. And I have to admit, when I really hit my stride during a run, I certainly do feel like a BAMR ;)
My hair tends to slip out of my ponytail during a workout, but the BAMR band stayed securely in place and held my hair out of my face. Another huge plus was that the elastic was super comfortable! Some of my previous headbands have given me headaches from being way too tight. BAMR bands stay in place with a non-slip backing rather than a way too tight fit.
I may not love treadmill running, but these cute BAMR bands make getting ready for the gym a little more fun. And with all that hair, I think I’ll be sharing my stash with Eleanor in no time! :)
BAMR bands come in all kinds of colors and patterns and at just $10 each, you can get a few to mix and match with your favorite workout gear!
And if you need another reason to love BAMR bands, $1 from every band is donated to Every Mother Counts to improve the health and well-being of girls and women worldwide!
