I think everybody can probably remember the first time they watched The Wizard of Oz. For me, I’ll never forget that moment when the screen went from black and white…
to epic technicolor!
And the music – who could forget the music? Somewhere Over the Rainbow was one of my absolute favorite songs growing up! The Lollipop Guild is always a highlight too!
If you asked my husband HIS favorite part of the Wizard of Oz, I have no doubt he would say the Wicked Witch of the West. He always seems to take the side of movie villains ;)
I would answer the exact opposite with Glinda the Good Witch. I mean, what little girl wouldn’t love a character with a puffy pink dress and a giant sparkly crown?!
This production of the Wizard of Oz is the closest to the original movie ever performed on stage, so you can be sure to see all of your favorite iconic movie moments!
Omaha Performing Arts will be celebrating the men and women of the armed forces at the Wednesday, December 9 performance of the Wizard of Oz. A select group of local families will receive complimentary tickets and a discount has been extended to all members of the military. You can find more information at the Ticket Omaha box office.
