Here we are – 24 weeks already! I start going to the doctor every two weeks starting in February. I can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by. Yes, I can’t wait to meet my little girl, but there’s still that part of me that wants to savor every moment of being so close to her.
24 Week Survey
This week, baby is the size of a: cantaloupe
Due date: May 1
Gender: Girl! We have her first name picked out, but are still debating middle names – the same problem we had with Eleanor :)
Exercise: I haven’t been as consistent with the gym/Mommy Fitness classes the past couple of weeks, but I have stayed incredibly active with Eleanor! I’m hoping to get back into a better routine though.
Maternity clothes: Same – wish it was dress season!
Belly button: Out, out, out!
Sleep: Sleep has been so-so. I’ve been sleeping in our bed again and have loved using my pregnancy pillow. I just get up a lot to change positions and pee – no way around that :)
Food cravings/aversions: None really
Symptoms: I get full really fast. I need to switch to smaller, more frequent meals as baby grows and my stomach gets more squished.
Movement: I can feel and see her moving a lot now. She’s most active after I work out and in the evening. I’ve had several limbs lodged in my ribs lately – the best kind of pain there is, haha!
Labor signs: Nope
What I miss: For the first time all pregnancy, I had a craving for some wine. Just a glass with a nice dinner would be lovely :)
What I’m loving: Starting to prepare for her arrival! I got her temporary nursery set up and have made a list of all the things I need to buy/do before she gets here. It’s fun to make these special purchases with her in mind.
Eleanor has been super interested in my belly lately. She pats it gently and says “baby” and gives it hugs and kisses. I know she doesn’t truly grasp that she’ll have a little sister, but these moments make my heart melt :)
