I’m posting from a hotel in the middle of Kansas on our way back to Omaha. Our whole family is currently battling a winter bug and is curled up on the hotel bed together.
In other news… I’ve had a Disney filled week, and I’m not complaining :)
Last Saturday Jeff, his sister Mel, and I went to Disney Live at the Omaha Civic Center. Yes, we were definitely the only adults without children in attendance, but it was fun nevertheless! It was so adorable to see the little girls dressed up in their princess outfits. I know that will be Eleanor in no time :)
Mickey, Minnie, and the gang opened the show and helped narrate the 3 classic fairytales: Snow White, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. The sets and costumes were everything you’d expect from a Disney production and the music was filled with all the familiar songs we’ve grown to love!
The stories were condensed to simpler plot lines, so the show lasted about 90 minutes with a short intermission. Beauty and the Beast was definitely the highlight of the afternoon! The “Be our Guest” number with the dancing candelabra was my favorite!
Disney on Ice
Yesterday I went to an absolutely amazing show of Disney on Ice in Dallas! My mom bought tickets for my sister and I to go with my 3 year old niece Mahala. She dressed up in her princess finest complete with about 30 bracelets and a matching purse.
I went to Disney on Ice as a kid, but I had just as much (if not more) fun this time around. The acts ranged from classics like Cinderella and Pinocchio to new favorites like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo. The costumes were absolutely amazing and the choreography was wonderful!
And before I forget, the winner of our Chic Pipsqueak giveaway is: Jessica R! Congrats Jessica – please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to claim your $25 GC!
