Hi friends! I’ve been missing from the blogosphere for awhile prepping for Easter and enjoying my little break from school! I’m popping by today to share some snaps from a wonderful holiday weekend! Jeff and I hosted both sides of our family for Easter lunch and an egg hunt. It was a blast getting to share Eleanor’s 1st Easter with her grandparents and aunts (we certainly missed my sister and her family though)!
Easter kicked off on Saturday with Eleanor’s 1st egg hunt with Jeff’s extended family. She wasn’t sure what to think of the grass, but ended up finding her very own egg :)
Easter morning started with bunny ears…
And an Easter basket full of goodies like a play piano, a swim suit, and a couple of new books!
Eleanor had a good nap while my mom and I prepared lunch, and then we snapped a quick family picture while we waited for the rest of our guests to arrive…
A very messy lunch required a wardrobe change for Eleanor, but then it was egg hunt time! The Easter Bunny made special eggs for Eleanor filled with itty bitty books and bath toys! What a lucky baby…
The Easter Bunny’s mom (aka Grandma) also organized an adult egg hunt complete with lottery tickets and chocolate… (I won a whopping $5!)
Our little bunny was sleepy after a full day of family and fun, but she was a trooper through the end! Jeff and I can’t believe how fast our 1st year in Omaha has flown by and just how much our lives have changed! Here’s a shot of what Easter looked like last year… a big belly and an empty house!
As much as I loved being pregnant, having Eleanor here to celebrate with us was much better :)
Did you celebrate with family and friends this weekend?
What’s your favorite Easter treat? I love Peeps…. too much ;)
