Jeff and I had the awesome opportunity to see ELF the Musical at the Orpheum last night courtesy of Omaha Performing Arts. Aside from “A Christmas Story,” ELF would have to be my favorite Christmas movie to date. It is so cute and clever, and you can’t help but feel the holiday cheer when it’s over.
ELF the Musical delivers the classic story of Buddy the Elf set to a whole new tune. Seeing a show play out on stage is a totally unique experience. The sets were amazing and the costumes and characters brought Christmas Town to life! I’m still humming the songs this morning :)
Eleanor is still a bit young to attend a show, so Jeff and I had a mom & dad date night while she enjoyed an evening with her Grandma. There were so many kids at the show with parents and grandparents. Their laughter and joy made the whole experience even better! I can’t wait to bring Eleanor to her 1st show in a couple of years!
And check out my budding Etch A Sketch skills. I may not compare the Buddy the Elf, but I have to say, my #ELF didn’t turn out half bad! I’ll have to keep practicing…
The show was personalized for the Omaha crowd and even mentioned the Huskers on more than one occasion! I’m so thankful we got to see the show! We’ll definitely be keeping our eye out for more great acts coming to our area!
