Yesterday was a really fun day – I got to take BOTH of my girls to a performance at The Rose. We were kindly invited to a sneak peek of Goodnight Moon, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see the classic tale on stage with my little ladies :)
Everly is still rather young to sit through an entire show, but she did absolutely amazing. Both girls crammed onto my lap, and The Bunny and all his storytime friends kept their attention for the full hour.
Goodnight Moon is a bedtime staple for families everywhere, and the musical performance was just as captivating. The iconic big green room is brought to life through dancing bears, a jumping cow (and his accompanying cat with a fiddle and dish with a spoon), and a rambunctious little bunny who just can’t. fall. asleep!
Let’s just say I can definitely relate to the little old lady whispering “hushhhhhhh” ;)
I absolutely loved the set – it was as though the illustrations were playing out right in front of me! The variety of music, characters, and scenes were perfect for a young audience. The pace kept my girls interested while still being simple enough to easily follow along.
