100% grassfed: what it means and why it matters

I’ve had a lot of really neat experiences come out of my blogging endeavors, but this month I got the chance to be a part of something really cool and learn a bit along the way.

I’ve been working with Stonyfield for over a year now, and as you know, our whole family (from the baby, to the toddler, to my husband) is in love with their yogurt. I honestly can’t keep up with the demand around here!

Going Grassfed

Stonyfield recently introduced a line of 100% grassfed yogurts, and we were sent a box to try out ourselves. As expected, they were delicious!

I also had the opportunity to sit in on a webinar with Tim Joseph founder of Maple Hill Creamery where Stonyfield sources the milk for their grassfed products. It was incredibly inspiring to hear Tim’s passion for the business and his commitment to producing a top-notch product.

It was also fascinating to hear how a grass-based dairy farm operates and its various benefits for consumers. If you’re curious to learn more, Maple Hill Creamery has a great page on their site explaining what grassfed truly means.

In the meantime, I put together a handy infographic with a few Grassfed Quick Facts I picked up during the presentation:

It was fun to get a peek behind-the-scenes of a product my family truly loves. As consumers, I think it’s always good to have an understanding of where our food comes from. Thanks Stonyfield for this awesome educational opportunity!

Have you tried Stonyfield’s new line? What questions do you have for a dairy farmer? Find me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to continue the conversation!

And please SHARE with a friend who you think would enjoy this post!
