Murnan Wedding: Groomsmen Gifts

Picking out the groomsmen gifts was surprisingly fun! J wanted to venture away from the standard choices and do something a little different. Once he thought of a theme, grilling, everything else fell into place. J had an awesome idea of ordering the groomsmen personalized spatulas, and as luck would have it, the company Sportula specializes in just that! We picked the favorite sports team or hobby for each guy – everything from the Iowa Hawkeyes to golf! Living in Milwaukee, Penzey’s spices was an obvious choice for adding a little “kick” to the gift. We got each guy one of their amazing Grill and Broil 4 packs. To add a little something personal, we found wine corks on Etsy that we had customized with a monogram for each guy. I’m kicking myself for forgetting to take photos of the spatulas and wrapping (too much on my mind that week) – so the photos below will just have to do :)

The goofy shapes of the spatulas and spice boxes left me with an odd wrapping predicament. I solved my problem by wrapping each package with packing material (think Crate and Barrel) before finally wrapping each in brown craft paper (which I purchased in bulk at an amazing price on amazon.com). I finished off the look with wood grain tape I ordered off Etsy (yep, Etsy again haha). I don’t have a photo of the finished product, but you can see it on the spice boxes below. I thought it was a great way to add masculinity to a gift.

What do you think of J’s idea? What would your groomsmen like?
