Hey there! Life has been moving a million miles a minute, and I feel like we have some catching up to do – so grab a cup of coffee, get comfy, and let’s chat! :)
A few weeks ago we found a house we LOVED in our ideal school district, so we took the plunge. Now we’re in the process of selling our home, which has proven far more stressful (and much less fun) than buying.
It’s going to be difficult to say goodbye to our first home – the place we bought as newlyweds and the house we welcomed our two little girls into. We know it’s the right decision though and are incredibly excited to get to know our new neighborhood!
I am insanely excited for the holidays – having kiddos makes it all so fun again! In leu of exchanging gifts this year with my side of the family, we’re all taking a trip together to Kansas City to go to Great Wolf Lodge. All 4 cousins are total water babies/toddlers/kids, so I know it will be a blast!
We’ve been taking our girls to the pool at gym to make sure they’re feeling comfortable in the water. Eleanor jumps in from the side of the pool now, and even baby Everly goes underwater with ease.
And as much as I love shopping, wrapping, and giving gifts, I think the memories we create together will be even better than anything we could have purchased! If any of you are Great Wolf Lodge veterans, let me know if you have any tips for making the most of your stay!
I’ve been trying to step up my game with providing fun, educational experiences for Eleanor right here in our home. I can’t let my teaching degree go to waste, haha! We did some fun fall activities, but I have lots of fun ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’ll be sure to share our successes (and failures) with all of you!
Jeff has been working remote again for about three months. It’s honestly the best work/life situation for our family. Depending on the day, he’s able to eat lunch with us and the girls love getting to see him, even if it’s only for 5 minutes. He’s working harder than ever, but it feels like we’ve achieved more balance as a family. We are incredibly thankful for the amazing opportunities he’s gotten over the past year!
I feel like that about covers life lately!
Catch me up – what’s going on with you lately?
What are you looking forward to this month?
