Easy Preschool Teacher Appreciation Card: Have your preschooler make this easy DIY craft to show how much they appreciate their teacher! "It takes a BIG heart to shape little minds!"

Teacher Appreciation Week

It’s Eleanor’s first year of preschool, which means we’re coming up on our very first teacher appreciation week! And boy have we appreciated Mrs. S!

I can’t say enough good things about the loving, energetic, exploratory environment she’s created for her students. Eleanor runs to give her a great big hug each morning at drop-off, and it makes this mama’s heart so happy!

“It takes a BIG heart to shape little minds!”

I couldn’t think of a better saying than this to describe Mrs. S. She truly has the biggest heart, and because of this, she’s able to make a big impact on her students. And with Eleanor learning all her shapes this year, I thought this saying was especially relevant for a preschool teacher. I can’t help it, I’m pretty punny ;)

"It takes a BIG heart to SHAPE little minds" Preschool Teacher Appreciation Card

Creating your teacher appreciation card

I started by cutting out the heart from the middle of the card. Then I used a black Sharpie to write out the saying:

Front: It takes a…
Inside top: BIG
Inside bottom: to shape little minds!

Then I handed over the reigns to Eleanor for the stamping! I’ll admit, I helped hold her hand steady to get a crisp outline for the shapes. Don’t worry if your child ends up with some smears – if anybody will understand, it’s a preschool teacher ;)

Signed, sealed, delivered!

Eleanor signed her name, added a gift card to Mrs. S’s favorite store, and sealed it up in the envelope! Super cute, super easy, and something I know any preschool teacher will love!

Pin this for a special teacher in your life! Let me know if you try it :)
