settling in {+ giveaway}

Thank you to EverydayHappy for sending me some GREAT new products and sponsoring today’s giveaway!

Happy Wednesday friends! I have to take a moment to THANK YOU for all of your heartfelt, thoughtful comments on yesterday’s post. I read each and every one, made a list of action items, and even ordered a couple of books. Seriously, you guys are the best!

settling in new home
Ok, so now on to the topic that’s consumed my life for the last 3 months – we moved! Saying goodbye to our first home was bittersweet. I have the print above of our old house sitting by my desk, and it always makes me smile. We loved our old home (bright blue shutters and all), but this new neighborhood just feels “right.”

We’ve settled into a new church, gotten Eleanor registered for preschool in the fall, and have all but about 10 boxes unpacked. The day we can **finally** fit both cars in our garage will be a day of celebration, haha!

Between moving IN to the new house and OUT of the old house, I’ve been doing my fair share of cleaning. It turns out my girls are just as messy no matter where we live ;)

EverydayHappy sent me their new line of American-Made cleaning products to try, and they’ve truly been put to the ultimate test. I don’t think I’ve ever said this about a cleaning product, but I LOVE how they smell. They have a clean, citrus scent (not chemically at all) and totally get the job done! These three little products can replace a whole cabinet full of cleaners. Plus, they’re biodegradable, vegan, plant-based, and non-toxic.

With hours upon hours of cleaning under my belt, I decided I deserved a little splurge and bought myself some new art I’ve been obsessing over from Minted. Here’s part of the living room so far; I’m still waiting to hang a few more pieces.

And now I need your help – what do I do with my fireplace? Our old house had a mantle mirror so I was thinking something along those lines, but I’m really quite clueless. Any design lovers have an idea for me? Extra points if it’s affordable ;)

To celebrate a fresh start in our new home, EverydayHappy is gifting one of their American-Made Cleaning Sets to a lucky Makingmine reader!
