a “special” snack

Sometimes our daily routine can get a bit monotonous – it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and do the same things over, and over, and over.

Special K gave Eleanor and I the chance to try out their brownies, and I knew they were just what I was looking for to change up our hum drum snack routine!

Brownies aren’t a common occurrence around here, so I decided to make up a fun Valentines themed plate for Eleanor in honor of the occasion.

The brownies are individually portioned out, so prep couldn’t have been easier. I just used a mini heart cookie cutter, stacked the brownie on a banana slice, and served it all up with a side of her favorite yogurt.

At 80 delicious calories apiece, our special snack didn’t have to be a splurge. Eleanor was delighted dig into her heart themed plate, and I was even more delighted she was willing to share ;)

We both loved the chocolaty drizzle on the Divine Fudge flavor and can’t wait to give Heavenly Caramel a try!

Oh, and the outer edges from the hearts? Those were saved to be sprinkled on some ice cream – I wasn’t going to let a single morsel go to waste ;)

Your turn:

What do you do to shake up the monotony of your day?
What’s your favorite snack?
