For several years, I’ve been slowly transitioning to more environmentally friendly products in our home. I’m nowhere near perfect, but I know that even the smallest change has a positive impact. Today I thought I would share three of my favorite eco-friendly switches!
1. Tom’s of Maine Personal Care Products
I first started using Tom’s of Maine when I was nursing Eleanor. We were spending so much time skin-to-skin, that I wanted to make sure the products I was using on my body were best for baby. I became a big fan of their deodorant, and when it came time to start brushing Eleanor’s teeth, we chose Tom’s of Maine Toddler Training Toothpaste.
Tom’s recently sent me a package of their awesome personal care products, and I finally tried their toothpaste for myself. I’m hooked! And with Tom’s of Maine, you’re always guaranteed that your products are free of artificial flavors, fragrances, colors, sweeteners, and preservatives!
2. Wool Dryer Balls
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love my dryer balls! I’ve never been a big fan of dryer sheets, so when these came in one of my monthly Mighty Fix boxes, I was so excited to try them. They leave my clothes soft, fluffy, and wrinkle free without any unnecessary chemicals.
3. Silicon Stretch Lids
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen me rave about these handy little lids. These Lekue Stretch Top Lids are the perfect alternative to plastic wrap. They can be placed on top of mason jars, halved fruits and vegetables, and my personal favorite – YoBaby containers! (Because NOBODY wants to waste any delicious Stonyfield!)
Everly is the queen of not finishing her yogurt in one sitting, and these lids make it so easy to pop it right back into the fridge until she’s inevitably hungry again in 30 minutes. Love it!
These are three of my favorite, simple, eco-friendly swaps. I’m hoping I can “clean up” my cleaning routine soon, but I haven’t found a great solution that works for me. Any ideas?
*Many thanks to Stonyfield and Tom’s of Maine for sponsoring this post
