toddler time and snacking smart

I posted recently about a few of my fitness related New Years resolutions, and so far I’ve been doing pretty good. I’ve been making my Mommy Fitness classes a priority while also staying active with Eleanor.

Last week I combined these two resolutions with Toddler Time at Mommy Fitness. It was half an hour of music, movement and pint-sized fun!

Eleanor had a blast chasing balls and singing and dancing. I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other local mamas – a few who are even due around the same time as me!

We both worked up quite an appetite – Eleanor from running wild, and me from doing my best to keep up with her :)

We grabbed a quick snack of apples and Special K bars. Little meals are the best for me now that baby is taking up more space in my belly – small, frequent snacks keep this mama (and baby) happy!

Eleanor had the Berry Medley flavor while I enjoyed a Salted Caramel Chocolate bar (yes, it’s as delicious as it sounds). The best part is they’re only 100 calories per bar!

Eleanor even convinced me to roll out the yoga mat so she could show me a few of her favorite moves from our class…

Snack time was soon over and only one of us cried (hint, it wasn’t me). I see many more Special K snack breaks in our future ;)

If you’re interested in trying these ALL NEW Special K chewy snack bars, just check out your local grocer and find your own favorite flavor:

  • Berry Medley
  • Blueberry Bliss
  • Salted Caramel Chocolate
  • Salted Pretzel Chocolate (my favorite)
