Thanks to The Rose Theater for sponsoring this post – we loved our afternoon at the show!
Think you know the story of the Three Little Pigs? Think again.
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
Yesterday afternoon the girls and I enjoyed a special preview performance of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs at The Rose Theater. My little ladies are familiar with the childhood favorite, but this show (based on the book by Jon Scieszka) took a whole new spin on the classic tale. Is the Big Bad Wolf truly guilty – you decide!
You be the Jury
The show takes place in a court house in Pigsylvania where the Wolf FINALLY gets to tell HIS side of the story. And it turns out, things aren’t always what they appear. After listening to both sides of the case, the audience gets to play the part of jurors to decide if the Wolf is guilty or innocent.
The girls were captivated by the 60s style music, fun costumes, and memorable characters. And of course, they loved getting to play an active role in deciding the fate of Mr. Wolf. Definitely a winning show for all three of us!
