Hello! Things have been pretty quiet around here on Makingmine. I took an unplanned hiatus ALL last week to study for my final exam for completing my teaching license. Since I’m being licensed through the state of Wisconsin, I have had a few additional requirements and passing the Foundations of Reading exam was the final step.
My mom was in town Monday through Wednesday to watch Eleanor, so I could get some uninterrupted studying done. I loaded up on coffee and bagels at Panera and hit the books! I felt pretty prepared going into my exam, but as usual, there were some unexpected questions that threw me a little. I’ll know my scores in about a month – think happy thoughts for me! :)
As you can see, it was a pretty boring reason to take a blogging hiatus, so I’m glad to be back! I’ve got a full week of posts planned, and I’m excited to get back into the swing of things! For today, I’ll leave you with some weekend snaps of our family trip out to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch.
Vala’s is an absolute must for fall fun for anybody in the Omaha area. They have SO much to do for all ages. We took Eleanor last year, but she had a lot more fun now that she’s older and can toddle around the grounds.
There was live music, plenty of food (we may have already polished off a 6 pack of apple cider donuts), and SO much to do! When Eleanor gets older, I know we’ll be getting a Vala’s season pass because there is just too much to see in one day. I’ve already planned a return trip (sans Eleanor) with some girlfriends later this fall – can’t wait!
What did I miss this past week?
