Hi friends! I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend! You may notice that Makingmine is looking a little different today – with help from my amazing husband Jeff we did a site refresh on Sunday afternoon. After doing some thinking about my goals and the future of this little blog, I decided a new look was in store! Here’s a rundown of the new site and what to expect moving forward…
The NEW Makingmine
- The header: My role as a mom is a huge defining characteristic of who I am, and my girls play such a prominent role in the content of this blog, that I decided my header needed to show that better! I LOVE how the illustration turned out – I just wish I actually had time to do my hair and get dressed on a daily basis ;)
- The tagline: “Creating the best version of you” remains the same. Continuing to learn and grow is WHY I created this blog in the first place. I’m always looking for new ways to enrich the life of my family – whether it be through a fun art project with Eleanor, a new healthy recipe I tried, or embarking on a new fitness regimen! These experiences will continue to be a focus in my posts here on Makingmine.
- The menu bar: I tried to simplify the menu with only the most basic categories at the heart of Makingmine – food, fitness, family, and fun activities I plan for the girls. I also included pages that catalog all of my posts relating to both pregnancies and the girls’ first year.
- The “About” page: Updated with our newest addition! :)
What to Expect
Adding an infant to our busy lives has definitely shaken things up around here, but not much is going to change as far as content and posting goes. I’m **hoping** to develop a Monday/Wednesday/Friday posting routine, and you’ll continue to see posts about my life as a stay-at-home mom, my journey toward my pre-baby body, my favorite products, and recipes you just gotta try ;)
And because no post would be complete without a baby photo, here’s a picture of my littlest sweetie from the long weekend!
What would you like to see more of (or less of) moving forward on Makingmine?
