It’s Monday! How did that happen? :)
My “weekend” kicked off with a series of awesome holiday shows: Wednesday Jeff and I saw The King’s Singers at the Orpheum, Thursday I attended A Christmas Carol at Omaha Community Playhouse, and Friday was opening night for A Christmas Story at The Rose Theater!
All three were awesome shows – I’ll have more to share about A Christmas Story tomorrow :)
Saturday morning Hannah and Erin met up at my house for our December Three Cooks One Kitchen – I’ll let you guess the theme. We have some exciting news and a pretty sweet giveaway coming up on Thursday!
The rest of Saturday was pretty lazy – as in naps for everybody! That evening we had a surprise appearance from St. Nick himself (well, in this case “herself” as Eleanor’s Grandma Murnan is behind the magic). Both Eleanor and Ruby were pretty ecstatic about their loot!
And I have to admit, I ate my fair share of my favorite chocolate mint cookies!
Sunday I woke up with a plan – FINISH Christmas shopping! And I think after 4.5 hours of running around town, I achieved my goal. Now today I get to wrap everything which is the fun part anyways :)
Sunday afternoon was spent at Jeff’s office. He wanted to do some decorating on his team’s cubes, so we hatched a plan and hit up Michaels to find everything we needed to transform the office into gingerbread houses.
I think it turned out pretty cute. They still have some decorating to do inside, but we got them off to a good start!
Sunday ended as every night in December has – with a new book! We’re loving this new tradition. Last night we opened Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb – Eleanor thought it was hilarious and it brought back great memories of my dad reading it to my sister and I!
Today Eleanor and I have some work to do around the house, presents to wrap, and hopefully a trip to Go! Kids’ Gym!
What did you do this weekend?
Do you still have a lot of “to do’s” on your holiday lists?
