Tis the Season
It’s that time of year – Thanksgiving feasts, cookie baking, Christmas decorating, gift shopping, and a flurry of other fun holiday events. And of course all of these occasions (no matter how big or small) are a bit more fun with something special to wear!
I remember shopping with my mom at OshKosh B’gosh, and now it’s an absolute treat to get to do the same with my own daughters. This past weekend Eleanor and I had a mommy/daughter shopping date to find the perfect outfit for Thanksgiving.
Our criteria? Comfortable AND cute! First and foremost, whatever we purchased had to be PLAY approved! Anything we bought had to allow for running, jumping, and princess twirling. And since the weather this time of year can be unpredictable here in the Midwest, we knew light layers were our best bet.
The Winning Look
After a mini runway show in the fitting room, we found the perfect mix of fashion and functionality. Our pick? An adorable floral pin-tuck tunic with pops of gold sparkle with some practical (and super comfy) navy leggings.

But since Thanksgiving isn’t just an ordinary day, we spruced up her look with some sparkly flats (that also match her Christmas dress, #momwin), some fun beaded bracelets, and a glittery gold hair clip.

Here Come the Holidays
With the perfect outfit on lockdown, Eleanor can’t wait for Thanksgiving weekend to get here! She’s excited to see her aunt who’s flying in from California and spend some time in Iowa with her cousins.
Fingers crossed this amazing fall weather continues because I know she’ll be ready for some outdoor adventures!
